Our Trip to Regina

On Monday the kids and I headed to Regina for a quick visit with Grandma and Auntie Donna Jean, who was in Regina visiting with 'old' friends. After a yummy lunch we decided to go to the Science Museum where the kids could run around a play...and learn something, while the adults could have a visit. I remember visiting the science museum as a little kid and how much fun it was....and it still is!! Jackson and Mackenzie stopped for only a pee break...otherwise they were involved and curious about all the interactive displays that are available for all ages. At the end of the day both Jackson and Mackenzie asked if we could come back again so I know it was a hug hit!
Thanks for the great day Grandma and Auntie Donna Jean!!!!!!

Crawling through the tunnels to determine which tunnel is cooler...the white one or the blue one??? What do you think??

Mackenzie making very loud music.

And Jackson on the drums.

Lego land....you would not believe the displays. They made everything with the teeny tiny Lego pieces.

Racing their cars in Lego Land.

This car is entirely made out of little Lego pieces..very cool

Up, Up and Away......Auntie Donna Jean was helping Jackson to understand how the balloon 'floated' up to the ceiling. both kids loved this and I think it was their favorite display. As you can see by the smiles on their faces.

Little Minners

You can't tell at all that these two are sibblings!!!!!

Fun with light and electricity...........

Both kids thought it was cool when you put your hand on the ball and the energy went straight to their hands and made them purple.

If you look closely you can see both Mackenzie and Jackson's shadow. In this space you stand in front of a large white wall and a very bright flash goes off. When you move away from the wall what is left is your shadow....very cool.

Mirror, Mirror on the Wall.......................

Science Museum Con't

Jackson and Auntie Donna Jean putting the inside of a human back together......

Uncle Vince...we could have used your help on this one!!!!

The Wall of Gears was pretty cool. You can set up the little and big gears however you want...then you press a button on the side of the display and all the gears start turning....Jackson thought this was pretty cool too.

Spray Park to Hot Tub

Auntie Jenn, Uncle Jason and Maddie came to our house to go to the new Spray Park right by our house. We thought the kids would have a lot of fun.....not! It was just too windy and the water was very cold so we packed up and hung out in the hot tub instead. Unfortunately the rest of the day has not gone so smoothly....Both Mackenzie and Jackson are sick with a sore tummy and bad bums :-( On the flip side Daddy's team made it to the final in Ball Provincials and we can't wait until he comes home --especially me---I need a break from poopy bums!!!

Our hot tub is still big enough for Jackson to swim underwater and practice his floats...or should I say Jackson is still small enough!!!

A day at the Pool

We spent the entire afternoon at the pool with Auntie Shelley and her niece Kathleen. Mackenzie unexpectedly floated around the pool in a floaty all afternoon while Kathleen and Jackson hit the water slide and diving board and the shallow end and the deep end and the snacks....well, you get the picture!!! Yeah, summer has finally arrived in toon town!!!

First Day at the Beach....Finally!!

The weather has finally cooperated (at least today anyway..we are supposed to get thunder showers for the next two days). Auntie Shelley had a great idea, as she usually does, and we headed out to Pike Lake for the day. It was also Jason, Jenn and Maddie's first time at Pike Lake. The weather was good...could of been warmer...the kids did not seem to mind. We had a hard time getting Mackenzie and Maddie to wrap up and keep warm. Jackson and Daddy built trenches in the sand and Mackenzie and Maddie just ran around enjoying the day.
