Smiles for Ice Cream....

Lastnight we wanted to get a shot of the kids and to do this we told them they would get ice cream afterward.
So here are a couple of shots of the kids...and for all you Hodgson relatives, I have sent a copy of the second picture in color with Emilia to Bowsman and Winnipeg :0)

Hodgson crew have arrived.....

What does our home sound like when all the Hodgson cousins, minus Luke, get together??

Like a herd of Elephants running through the house!!

Our home is a buzzzz, literally! Auntie Emilia and Uncle Jody arrived yesterday with Tucker, Lilly and Cameron. The kids were so excited to see one another... hard to believe that it's been a year and a half since we saw the South of the Border Hodgson crew. Jackson and Tucker have been busy playing various sports in the backyard and Lilly and Cameron have been playing all the 'girl stuff' girls do with babies, kitchen sets.......and Mackenzie is playing too!!! Must write this down in her baby book as it does not happen often in this house :0)

And we finally saw that big yellow thing in the sky....I cannot remember what it's called though, it has been so long-I think it's call the SUN!

More pictures to come.....

bubbles....

When the kids were blowing bubbles I tried to catch one with my camera. If you enlarge the picture you will see the reflection of our house in the bubble...and dandelions may be weeds but they make for interesting photography once they turn to seed to be blown away by the wind...

this shot of the dandelion is straight out of camera (sooc)...no photoshoping here...just a little creative cropping!!!

Uncle Brock, Auntie Pam and Baby Luke are here!!

We are having a wonderful weekend here in Toon Town!! The sun is out (at least we think it's the sun) and Uncle Brock, Auntie Pam and Luke are here!! Jackson and Mackenzie were so excited when we told them they were coming for a couple of sleep overs. Jackson kept saying "I have to show Uncle Brock and Auntie Pam, this and this and this"--he was pulling out all the toys he wanted to show them. Mackenzie being the little girl that she is wanted to show them her 'Diego' t-shirt... imagine that!

It has been non stop activity in our house and Jackson doesn't let Uncle Brock sit for more than a few minutes and has been scaring Auntie Pam with his 'Storm Trooper' mask. Luke has been very busy cooking up a storm on the play kitchen and carrying around a bag full of crayons and markers. Jackson and Mackenzie have been so good with Luke. Jackson said to Brock and I last night..."I think I'd make a good babysitter". My reply was, "I think you would too Jackson. Luke's diaper is poopy, are you going to go change it for Uncle Brock"? and Jackson replied, "No Way Man! That's gross"! So much for babysitting!

Our Jake..

Jake turned 12yrs old on June 1. According to the chart at his Vet Clinic he's 72 yrs in doggie years. It's hard to believe he's 12yrs since he acts like a puppy most days. Tomorrow Jake goes back to the vet for an ultra sound on his heart. He has a really bad cough...which was initially diagnosed as Kennel Cough. Unfortunately his x-rays on Friday showed his heart is enlarged and this most likely is the cause of his cough. We are keeping our fingers crossed that all it is, is a real bad case of Kennel Cough and the antibiotics he's on will clear it up. We are just not ready yet to say goodbye.

Things that make you go ...hmmmmm...

Mackenzie, "Madeleine, do you know what this is"?
Maddie, "No, do you"?
Mackenzie, "Maybe it's a log or something"?
Maddie, "It could be a, mmm, something"???

Reflection of me...

We had a sever Thunder Storm watch tonight and as I was out 'trying' to get a shot of the clouds I turned around and shot a reflection of myself in the storm door. The blue around my head is the dark sky and the green is of the trees in the backyard.
